Yet the trends seem somewhat contradictory, especially if business owners and leadership teams omit to put in place a solid structure to serve their business. It's not enough or good business sense to rush into new possibilities without taking some time to strategise and lay down the rules.

Following the crowd without proper deliberation on the impact, potential misuse and long-term implications is a dangerous game. Look at how many companies once championed DEI, only to scale back when the conversation shifted. A prime example of taking action without foundation.

AI, fairness and boundaries aren't trends to chase but areas that need to be ingrained into the fabric of a business. Otherwise, companies find themselves reacting to change rather than shaping their own future.
